Vietnamese cold rice pasta salad

Servings: 2 servings


  • 1 package of fresh rice noodles in the refrigerated section, steamed for 3 minutes
  • A few slices of Vietnamese sausage
  • 4 tbsp chopped mint
  • 4 tbsp of thai basil, chopped
  • 2 Lebanese cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp of fried onions (sold in a jar)
  • 1 Tbsp of rice vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp of fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 5 cases of cold water
  • 1 Tbsp of sambal oelek or to taste


1- Heat the pasta in a daisy on a saucepan filled with water or your steamer.
2- Make the sauce with the last 5 ingredients of the recipe
3- Cut the strips of pasta using a knife and spread them out among 2 plates
4- Garnish the plates with the herbs, sausage, cucumber and fried onions.
5- Pour the sauce equally into the 2 plates.
