Spicy pesto from Kim Phat

Spicy pesto

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of thai basil
  • 1 cup of Vietnamese cilantro
  • 1 cup of coriander
  • 1 cup of garlic chives
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 CAT of chopped ginger
  • 1 jalapeño pepper or 3 bird peppers
  • 1 Tbsp of shelled sunflower seeds
  • 2 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp of sunflower oil

Preparation

1. Wash and wring out each herb leaf
 2. Place the herbs, garlic, ginger, chilli and sunflower seeds in a food processor and chop
 3. Add sesame oil and soy sauce. Mix everything well. Add the sunflower oil by hand.
 4. Add this pesto to your grilled meats or on a fish. Can also be stored in the freezer.
